And there are also Micro Megablocks, the same size as LEGO. The kits for Micro Megablocks were much better than the LEGO kits, making slightly larger models but using only standard bricks. The LEGO models were smaller, depending on many custom pieces specific to the kit, which were pretty useless for general brick construction.1040556http://activitystrea.ms/schema/1.0/post2020-10-03T02:02:37+00:002020-10-03T02:02:37+00:00http://activitystrea.ms/schema/1.0/personhttps://gs.jonkman.ca/user/2bobjonkmanComputer Consultant, Instructor, Project Manager, System Administrator⦠Volunteer at Radio Waterloo Co-founder of http://kwvoip.ca GnuPG Key fingerprint = 04F7 742B 8F54 C40A E115 26C2 B912 89B0 D2CC E5EA Political me is @BobJonkmanGreen https://gs.jonkman.ca/BobJonkmanGreenbobjonkmanBob JonkmanComputer Consultant, Instructor, Project Manager, System Administrator⦠Volunteer at Radio Waterloo Co-founder of http://kwvoip.ca GnuPG Key fingerprint = 04F7 742B 8F54 C40A E115 26C2 B912 89B0 D2CC E5EA Political me is @BobJonkmanGreen https://gs.jonkman.ca/BobJonkmanGreenElmira, Ontario, Canadahomepagehttp://bob.jonkman.ca/blogstruetag:nu.federati.net,2020-10-02:objectType=thread:nonce=2327fee919de43d6tag:gs.jonkman.ca,2020-10-03:noticeId=1040553:objectType=notebobjonkman repeated a notice by clackeRT @clacke Not only are Duplo blocks *like* Lego blocks, they *are* Lego blocks, and I don't just mean that Duplo is a Lego brand and produced in the same factory, the two systems are actually compatible.

A Lego 2x2 block fits and sticks to the underside of a Duplo block, and the nob on the top of a Duplo block fits with the pillar in the middle under a Lego 2x2 block.

That's the reason the Duplo nobs are hollowed-out circles rather than the filled-in circles Lego blocks have!
