Is it possible on #mastodon (or elsewhere in the #fediverse ?) to hide followers, e. g. certain bots that I follow, from general view?

(May not want to reveal all my interests to all my friends and family. :) )

Didn't spot an answer to this in https://github.com/tootsuite/documentation/blob/master/Using-Mastodon/User-guide.md#following-other-users ... sorry if there's an obvious answer.

    Thank you!

I don't know how to do it on Mastodon. But, if the user you want to follow is on GNU Social, you can subscribe to the RSS/Atom feed of that account using a feed reader. Not the most convenient way, but it works.

@arunisaac @mrconway Indeed you can follow !GNUsocial accounts anonymously via RSS/Atom using Thunderbird.

@arunisaac @mrconway another idea could be to create yourself a second unrelated GS/Mastodon identity & follow the special users from there
