   When the US proposed laws affecting internet users, you couldn't move for exhortations to SAVE THE INTERNET and CALL CONGRESS.

   Proposed regulations affecting European internet users - deafening silence from our US tech overlords.

   There's a bigger issue at play here - time to take control of the way we use the web away from the US giants and into our own hands.

      Also, I include Mozilla in that. They're very good at kicking up a massive stink if there are any proposed US regulations, but silent on things affecting those of us in the rest of the world.
