    @medusa I do think as Europeans we're asked to care about US stuff online an awful lot these days. There is a lot happening in the US that doesn't apply to us here, and yet you can't move online for people outwith the US getting angry about things happening there.

    I think we'd be a lot better off if people concentrated a bit more on stuff happening closer to home - here in the UK there's a lot to care about but people are ranting online about Congress doing something or other...

      @medusa The other irritation for me is that it's very rarely reciprocal - we're constantly told to care about American stuff because it's American and therefore Important, but most Americans don't give a shit about things happening outside their borders.
