If it was just about advertisers, they would simply not run advertisements on those subreddits. The reason they don't target terrorists is because they are chicken shit and don't want people who are actually violent targeting them back.
They are seeking to defund/shut down conservatives who don't agree with them ideologically, but it's not because those conservatives are toxic to advertisers.
