@kara I never even tried, partly because I'd only just set myself up with XMPP right before I learned out it, and partly because people were pooping out half-arsed servers and clients based on an incomplete and super volatile protocol.

Plus most of the clients looked horrid, and even against XMPP, it's not like there's a high bar for quality, >.>
