@interneteh Yeah, I finally did it this morning and felt similarly.

I answered "neutral/unsure" for *a lot* of the questions in this quiz, mostly because I thought there were a lot of false dichotomies that ignore real-life nuances. Sometimes I was also genuinely unsure.

Anyway, I guess I'm some sort of wish-washy centrist (which is probably pretty accurate, TBH).

@emsenn Season 9 was simultaneously kind of a mess and also the best season in years.

One thing that annoys me about the entire series, especially as they expanded the world to add the different communities, is that there is no coherent sense of scale. I have no idea how close to one another the communities are supposed to be, and I don't think the writers do, either, because travel time is ridiculously inconsistent and seems to be whatever the plot calls for.

The start of the school year is a more meaningful "new year" than Jan. 1 for me.

Ever since I started school, the end of summer marked the end of a "year." Even the years before I started working for a school district (meaning my work year matches the school year, even though I don't actually get summers off), the start of fall marked the start of a new "year."

I feel like this is true for a lot of people, especially if they have children.

@melpsn Maybe the corporate surveillance systems noticed your undies are looking a little raggedy and they want you to have some nice, comfortable new ones, without a bunch of holes where the waistband is coming detached from the rest of them...

There are a few commentators who are at least sympathetic to conservatives at the CBC, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say the CBC has a conservative bias (notable exception that I just thought of: the CBC business headline suggesting that Bolsenaro's election would be good for Canadian business...probably true, given the not so great history of our mining companies, but still not a great look).

@msh I know, at one time, they weren't delivering outside of GTA (or at least not outside of Ontario). Maybe they are doing it again now, though. It's unclear from their website.

The Toronto Star was totally going to let me sign up for a physical newspaper subscription even though I'm in Edmonton. Were they just going to deliver StarMetro Edmonton to me and hope I wouldn't notice or do they actually deliver the Star outside of the GTA and in other provinces now?

Why, when talking about the ultra rich, do people use the expression "this is how the other half live?" It's really, like, a few dozen people who live like that.

@jszym The idea that CBC has a *Conservative* bias is a new one! I've not heard that before.
