Because of the narrow target group of vis.social I hope as well that it will improve over time.

Maybe add a 1-month rule. If someone isn't active (Toot, new following, reply, etc.) for 1 month they get a notice per mail and have another month to become active. If not, their account is removed.

Do you know a human language? Do you want Mastodon to be available in that language? 518 instances out of 1724 known ones are currently upgraded to a version that provides the new stats information. The total of active users for last week on those 518 instances is 17,358.

Instances vary in size a lot, and there might be a thing where the bigger ones are slower to upgrade; if some upgraded during last week, the numbers do not represent the whole week. A conservative, pessimistic estimate of total active users on Mastodon last week is 56,892

Side note: I wouldn't recommend using Telegram; they market themselves as a secure app but there's no e2e encryption unless you specifically enter a "secret chat", and then it uses some custom crypto they came up with. It's all very dodgy.

Those who made/make use of bridge.joinmastodon.org - is the followers check useful or can I remove it and leave it to check only the people you follow?

3 years ago I wrote a script to crawl my Twitter social graph and create a visual representation of the cliques I was part of / bordering on. Just remembered that when talking to @TheKinrar. The source is on my GitHub, might be possible to adapt it to Mastodon. Looking at my graph from 3 years ago now is a strange feeling.
