@Jdogg247 I would be sympathetic to that argument if Twitter and other select private companies were not being shielded from liability with regard to the speech allowed on their platform on the basis of allowing free communication. They cannot have their cake and eat it too; these companies need to commit to either control speech (and be liable for the speech they allowed, essentially a death sentence for them all) or allow it entirely and avoid liability. -

@Jdogg247 Meh, anyone who expected centralized exchanged to protect their privacy wasn't paying attention.
Get coins from fiat on centralized exchange. Transfer to non-custodial "tainted" wallet, run through a coin tumbler, collect squeaky clean crypto on an untainted wallet. Make sure to never link the untainted wallet to your identity, or redo if there's ever a chance it's been linked. Once in a while switch addresses and rerun your coins through a tumbler, just in case you didn't unknowingly link your wallet to your identity, or that fancy analytics didn't manage to id you even without any glaring mistake. -

@lain @tedu I have many problems with Netflix, chief among them that intensely dislike much of what they push and promote as a company, and I prefer finding alternate ways to watch what they do have that I like rather than subsidize the creation of that which I despise, but the subscription cost being too high for quantity of content on offer is nowhere close to being a problem for me, and definitely wouldn't be for anyone without an intense dislike for cathedral mindcontrol programming. -

@ConfederateHobo They lean too hard not on the Arthur C Clarke quote, but on it's opposite. Not that sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic, but sufficiently studied magic is indistinguishable from science.
I like seeing the implication of the original quote in fiction more, it's much more interesting. There's stuff like Stargate, with sufficiently advanced aliens posing as Gods (which does loop back to the sufficiently studied magic opposite once the main characters meddle), and the cosmic horror genre (where there is no hope of understanding). -
