@neil @ntnsndr This is why I've tried to keep my devices of all kinds going just as long as possible. Eventually, though, each one grinds to a halt. At the very least, my new purchases can be refurbs, not truly new.

@KevinCarson1 Kevin, can you point me towards what you've written so far on the PPL vs. assorted Creative Commons licenses vs. the public domain? What's your view of the critique of open licenses allowing for capitalist expropriation?

@ntnsndr I've fallen back on Linux Mint XFCE. Only Mint keeps my old-school Wi-Fi hardware working, and XFCE keeps things light yet productive.

@tbeckett No, not yet. I got these two from Librivox, which deals exclusively with materials in the public domain.

@geosocialcoop This is a really important article. It really puzzles me that worker co-ops haven't talked more about the Peer Production License. I think it's the key to unlock the cooperative economy.
