@hector Yeah. I've pondered this so much over the years. And I often have to wonder whether it is a feminine or masculine thing. At the end of the day, it seems to be more of a generalisation and label for something that is within us all. Not as those things, but as a human condition. Certain situations call for us to behave in certain ways just to survive, and it will be shaped by our experiences. Like the workspace tends to call for certain traits/qualities, and if we are to thrive and survive then we need to embody them. I do think biology plays a role for certain things, but perhaps less so in the realm of human emotion and behaviour than we assume.
-
I have to wonder, at what point do we say that character traits are just human traits, and we all have the capacity to behave in such ways?
-
Another video that seems to imply this I think.

Apparently, not feeling safe is what is leading women towards being more masculine. So... being fearful and insecure.
-
@1iceloops123 @ajr I mean, you can get porn for free these days. But I'd honestly rather spend money on other things... not really into porn so that probably plays a role.
-
@1iceloops123 @ajr Buying porn is a waste tho.
-
@ajr I guess so. :')
-
Still not sure what this feminine energy means. :')

@natecull I know you won't see this because you're in your own echo chamber, blocking half the fediverse for having different views to those of overlord gargron.
But this is exactly the kind of hypocrital rethoric that'll cause a repetition of what happened at christchurch. You like to pretend that when it's non-whites that radicalize, it's the fault of colonialism, capitalism, persecution, an unfair society, et cetera; but when it's whites that radicalize it's because of racism and hatred and further silencing them is what'll end the violence.
It'll just reinforce their idea that the only way out of the current situation is killing more non-whites. If you want them to stop radicalizing, show them that society and the authorities of the state will protect them, and won't treat them like second class citizens. Show them that their grandchildren will grow in the same country they knew as children. Show them that they won't grow old in a multicultural dystopia. Do that, and guys like the NZ shooter will be laughed at online, not praised. As long as the "it's all the fault of white people" rethoric continues being pushed, you'll get more and more people willing to grab a rifle and kill 50 "others"

"You possessed your inner essence and character which was wholesome to her. Most females will reject males not based on looks or possessions but the way they're matched, the way the man is as a person and way the couple is as a unit and the way the woman is when with the man, the character & preferences which match."
Interesting... I think there is truth to this.

I'm not sure I understand women from this... :')

I do cocky, and I do arsehole.
-
@nerthos Touche. For me, I think it depends on the context and game. I used to like doing harmless flirting with people... but only if it was fun for us both. You have to build up to that.
I would also roleplay in the past. I roleplayed a male character who was an arsehole-type, and I'd go up to certain characters to have a snarky back-and-forth with them which was expected. I found it really fun to tease them, getting inside my characters head. But again, these things only really work for me when it is appreciated on both sides. It can be fun to be playful, but not when it hurts the other person.
-
@nerthos Oh yeah... I prefer honesty too, although I'm just more guarded/wounded. Games can be fun if that is what you are interacting for, just teasing each other. Nothing serious. But if you are seeking a relationship then it's less fun. You don't want to be strung along or have to play the guessing games.

Topic: "Has the internet ruined gaming?"
-
> being surprised when strangers comment on public internet threads
i can’t believe i’m saying this, but fediverse threads ARE NOT private email threads. it is perfectly normal for randos to appear in threads.

> giving a speech about feminism in gaming at the UN
> the same UN that has Saudi Arabia heading a human rights council
It's like pottery
-
@lain Oh, more as a general thing? Yeah, that makes sense.
-
@lain I'm not so sure. I've never found dating easy. But it doesn't help that I have such low self-esteem to begin with.
