@maloki @julia fair! I think in terms of moving the story, and some of the interactions we got to see, it was a good episode. It felt a bit more classic GoT than we've had for a bit

hi i have a problem

where i sit down in the morning with coffee

then magically an hour and a half is gone and i still need to get ready for the day

I think I also tend to sway back and forth between feeling comfortable in life and feeling paranoid/insecure/unproductive to the point where it feels easier to seek validation than to uhhhhh work on stuff

So I started to feel like if I had nothing interesting to say, and most of my posts were just memey ones like the start of this thread (which eventually feel hollow to post over and over) then maybe I shouldn't spend my time here

🤷Or maybe I felt fulfilled in life in other ways, so hollering into the fediverse, hoping for interaction, felt less important

I guess I don't know what I want out of this kind of place. I know what I wanted in the past... but I don't know if i need that anymore

:thinkgoing: i wonder if the reason i stopped coming to mastodon so much was that i fell prey to the thinking of corporate social media, that i needed to have something Important™ or Marketable™ to say in order to enjoy myself on the platform.

I'm not really creating that much of anything... I became aware enough of my own shortcomings of imagination to feel discouraged about writing. I don't do art. I used to stream a little but I feel too busy.

mostly, I really don't get why you need to have product / sales / support / whatnot folks in a _daily_ meeting about the progress of an engineering project.

having the product/sales guidance is great, but beyond weekly, how much direct involvement does product need to have in engineering? if you've correctly steered the project and thought a head a little bit, engineers should probably be able to work for a week without adjusting course, right?

daily scrums hurt my insides

especially because nobody actually follows the scrum format of like a 10 minute standup - they always go around 30 minutes or more
