@Matthew Davidson @Ruben Open Camera has a panorama mode and a triple exposure ("HDR") mode that I like to play with a lot.

If it could take stills while filming it would be perfect.

I would like better whitebalance control, but it's entirely possible that it has it and I just don't know it yet.

I like that I have the same camera on every device instead of learning the idiosyncracies of Sony, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo etc camera apps for each device I get.

Just a reminder, this is just the interest, no payment on the principal so the debt stays the same.

    >Maybe bank regulators need to investigate how these banks got into a clearly unsound situation

Naa, but if they have financial issues in the future, let them die.

    > The Tesla and SpaceX chief financed his $44 billion deal to take Twitter private in October by securing the huge debt from a syndicate of banks led by Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Barclays, and Mitsubishi. The $13 billion debt is held by Twitter at a corporate level, with no personal guarantee by Musk.

The article isn't clear about the installment terms. $1.5B/year could be in annual, semiannual, quarterly, or monthly payments.

I cannot imagine how various big banks allowed themselves to be suckered into that deal. From the outside, everything about it seemed unsound from the beginning. And as a lender, I certainly would not have allowed the loan to be collateralized by Twitter itself. It would either have been pledge your ${NASDAQ_[TSLA]} #Tesla shares and #SpaceX shares, or some other way of lending it directly to Elon Musk himself.

Maybe bank regulators need to investigate how these banks got into a clearly unsound situation ... and maybe push these banks' top management executives entirely out of the industry.

    @geniusmusing Interesting that I didn't recall any of these other versions. I'm sure I heard Sam Cooke's original ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Zkm9ahFbVQ ).

I got to #videochat with #GS4 & #GS5 yesterday. #GS3 was watching TV, and did not participate. We’re going to have another videochat today, without any television 📺 to interfere.

The almost two years old child was at the limit of his verbal expression, but he was clear about what he was saying. “I’m happy that we’re having this chat, but I want you to come back and talk in person.”

I seem to recall there's a standard API that should be common to all the #StatusNet derivitave servers. I'm pretty sure that in its infancy Mastodon conformed to that API. But Mastodon's API expanded beyond that, and I suspect some of the common API was removed, probably around the time #OStatus was dropped from Mastodon too.

But that's sheer speculation on my part.

Time to upgrade my server, so I can upgrade PHP, so I can upgrade this GNUsocial instance...

Plot twist: Actually I wasn't supposed to go to BoA at all, it was Citibank. It got translated to BoA in my head. They're both red and blue I guess?

The good news is there's a Citibank just next to Cheung Kong so it all worked out.

But now I'm saddled with this BoA knowledge for no reason. And so are you.

In most systems, "ignoring" acts just like "blocking" but is limited to inbound traffic, while "blocking" also affect outbound traffic.

@LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} Gregorian is named after Pope Gregory so you can see why the Eastern Orthodox would not be the ones to adopt. Russia's secular world made the switch shortly after the October Revolution, but the ROC is still on the old calendar. At this point I think it may be more likely for Constantinople to reunite with Rome than with Moscow

@LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} the new Julian calendar is a fairly recent change. There's some pretty interesting Wikipedia rabbit wholes around old calendarists if you ever feel like taking a dive.
