Image of a Hezbollah member holding a weapon with a rifle shape, but the front is covered by a big flat plastic triangle.
What is that? Is it some rocket weapon? Is it still in its packaging and needs to be unpacked before use?

@mhd Looks like you're right, this seems to be the same weapon.

Designed for two-handed operation, it features high-performance directional antennas in a robust, rifle-style design. The control panel allows operators to select and engage specific jamming frequencies, tailored for optimal effectiveness against various UAS threats, according to the company.Upon activation, the system triggers a response from the targeted drone, compelling it to either perform an immediate vertical landing or return to its point of origin or remote controller.
I heard the term "TABs" for the first time, in an accessibility context. TAB stands for "Temporarily Able-Bodied", and is a term that puts a focus on the fact that having a disability or being able-bodied is not an essential trait, it's where you are in life.
Of course, some people may be able-bodied their whole life, and you should build universally useful things not because you might personally benefit but because it's the right thing to do. But I think the term is an interesting twist on things, that might help people put things in perspective.
This post describes it well:
It's impossible for a computer nerd to hear "TABs" without thinking about the age-old conflict about tabs vs spaces for indentation of program text.
In the disability context #TabsVsSpaces could be about how people without disabilities go and design bad spaces that work only for them.
Just to confuse things. ๐
So I heard the Paris Summer Olympics was a great performance in woke-washing?
Still made the French right mad, so thereโs that, I guess.
Iโve seen someone trying to defend Israel by replacing any occurence of โZionistโ with โJewishโ in prominent politicians public social media posts.
I know โZionistโ can be a dog whistle for โJewish peopleโ, but to assume everybody indiscriminately does it implies for me that โZionismโ wouldnโt have a meaning of its own besides this dog whistle. Notwithstanding this being factually wrong, it would also make the Jewish people collectively responsible for the 1946 King David Hotel bombing and the worst bits of Israel colonization efforts and the current genocide in Gaza, which feels counter-productive to me.
aaahaha he did it for the 10 years anniversary:

My assumption was correct until, 500 weeks later, it wasn't.
We could make this a lesson about induction, but I won't. ๐
I've been kind of assuming that the "days without a Kant/can't pun" on #existentialcomics would be always increasing, but now I realized it's at 260, so there was a pun less than a year ago.
Using Wayback Machine to track it down.
What we can observe is that the frequency of Kant/can't puns has *drastically* increased from zero to on average once per ten years.
But now it's decreasing again for every day that passes.
I deserve some decadence!
I have bought a piece of my favorite unhealthy bread, to enjoy tomorrow when I wake up, and I have bought some Swedish soft rye bread and a jar of elderflower marmalade, om nom nom.

But yaay #NewPipe 0.27.2 is out (since 4 days back) and it can play videos again!
Enjoy this Buryat throat-singing folk rock as a celebration!

!Friendica Admins Hi admins! If you are hunted by database errors like Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails (`friendica`.`#sql-alter-463-2034e1`, CONSTRAINT `#sql-alter-463-2034e1_ibfk_4`
where the table name and the constraint name contains #sql-alter
, then have got a look at that page: mariadb.com/kb/en/innodb-data-โฆ
These #sql-alter
tables are leftovers from failed alter
commands.
Attention: Before you apply any changes, please perform a backup.
Oh great, we are calling data records management "DRM", as if the other two meanings weren't confusing enough.
This one at least will be used in an entirely separate context, so there's that.
Kid finds the best youtube channels.
Tonight we have been following a guy's entire villain arc transforming from regular college student to youtuber traveling the world, trying the local signature dishes and turning them into recipes for grilled cheese sandwiches.
"Pappa, I need a grilled cheese sandwich now!"
It was inevitable.
The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain.

Internet rando to other internet rando: "You're the result of baby-proofing and guard rails. You're the reason everything has safety labels. You're the reason we no longer have Ferris wheels."
Uh. My dude. We still have Ferris wheels.
@Jima :Compromise_bi_flag: @Esther Payne :bisexual_flag: I'm wondering if they mean Ferris wheels as a part of traveling carnivals, which may very well have been more dangerous than your typical stationary Ferris wheel and had to be discontinued.
Did traveling carnivals have Ferris wheels? Did they stop?
