    This is sick!

55% of America only has 1 Internet provider option.

Free market competition doesn't work with no competition.

    #NetNeutrality goes both ways.

Yes, absolutely, no blocking, throttling or paid prioritization.

But also it means that video services such as Netflix shouldn't get a free pass, which is largely what the Obama "net neutrality" regulations were actually about -- forcing settlement-free peering with Netflix.

Netflix should have to pay for their network access too. We pay to send requests to Netflix, they pay to send video back to us. It's how Internet billing works.

If you're in the US and thrilled about the FCC's proposal to repeal #NetNeutrality regulations, here's what you can do next:

    * Buy Netflix stock and tell them to behave reponsibly as a company.

    * Tell the pro-neutrality crowd that they are being used as tools to enable Netflix to be subsidized by your ISP bill.

If you're in the US and upset about the FCC's proposal to repeal #NetNeutrality regulations, here's what you can do:

    1) Call the FCC and your Congresspeople. The FCC may have made up its mind, but your reps may not have. Use the scripts at http://5calls.org

    2) If calling is too stressful (that's totally fine!), https://resistbot.io/ lets you send faxes / emails. Way less pressure.

    We have to fight this.

    • Evil Corporations (not really)
The internet will be dominated by Google, Amazon and Facebook and will drive rest of the web to extinction. Google no longer is a search company; It is an AI company focussing on giving information and no longer being just a indexer. Amazon will eat up or drive other retailers to extinction. Facebook will take over the social media.
    https://staltz.com/the-web-began-dying-in-2014-heres-how.html
Things like net neutrality will become meaningless. Users will lose all their power and freedom.
This is not a what we fought for or want!
