like, the person who kicks this particular load of bullshit off is mirzaba (who you reposted), who is also one of the main propagators of the "pleroma is written by white supremacists" lie. -

@ffs @igeljaeger @oneway
how about actually verify the things you reposted?
i mean, maybe in the case of glip there is truthiness (but i don't think noiob is going to let an acting paedo run around on awoo.space, sorry, that is just not happening)
eevee is not a pedo, the people who claim eevee is a pedo also claim eevee has kids (she doesn't). they also claim she fucks dogs (again, she doesn't). unverifiable claims of pedophilia and zoophilia justified by unverifiable testimonials are rampant in the furry community btw.
i'm all for the swift removal of pedo activity from the fediverse, when it *actually exists.* lets work on the stuff that is actually going on. i see way too many people getting comfortable with people i know for a fact are minors. that's the shit we need to be talking about.
not the people whose only "proof" of pedophilia are single-party IRC logs that nobody can correlate. -

if your pitch is essentially "we should make __________ work like user blocks on Mastodon" please take it somewhere else. i'm not interested in building software which lies to the people who installed it. -

@riking @SoniEx2
it's not effective in any case because it depends on software agreeing to lie to the people using the software on behalf of the blocker.
which, i mean, i'm not agreeing to that. sorry. i've said it before and i'll say it again, the stuff Mastodon does when a user block is processed is simply bad engineering. -

@SoniEx2
user blocks don't cause Pleroma to start lying to the blockee about whether or not a user exists.
it just unsubscribes you and forbids resubscription and access to non-public posts, because that's the behaviour that actually makes sense.
the Mastodon behaviour is trivially bypassed:
1. it becomes fucking obvious you've been blocked because Mastodon starts lying to you, badly, about the state of the user who blocked you.
2. upon realizing you are blocked, you just visit their profile remotely.
and this is ignoring the part where authorized fetches are not even A Thing yet. -

@SoniEx2 no it will just drop the activity. it sends Reject Follow to tear down existing relationships though. -
