If #Covid19 we’re happening to a planet with a semi-sane, responsible, global political order, there would be little reason for mass worry. The problem is less the virus itself than governments whose response waffles between feckless and opportunistic authoritarianism.

Forget the “ecowarrior kid” media hook. Thunberg is one of the best rhetoricians to push Green imperatives in our era, a sincere and incisive thinker, an #actuallyautistic paragon, and speaks with a true blue prophetic voice missing from most mamby-pamby greenwashed corporate-pandering spin. She lays it on the line: Put up or shut up time, humanity.

And she is touring the Americas! I can’t wait! 🙆🏽♀️

See a girl: her face masked, body shrouded by a hospital gown, her skin ashen from the epic war she must fight within. A nurse leads her through the cafeteria to fetch breakfast, carefully warding her against contamination. At each kiosk she delicately nods at what she would like to eat. Withal she stands too still, patiently holding tight a clean mauve teddy bear. Her trust, as her life, is palpably desperate, clutching at shoals. An ethereal presence. She is perhaps 5 years old.

@fribbledom @eli There is a human anatomy simulation with floating annotations and hyperlinks, full size, for... not Oculus, but the more expensive one. I learnt more in depth and firmly about brain anatomy interconnexions in 2 hours of vivisecting that model than in 20 years of paper pictures.

VR has serious pedagogical potential, especially for the more visually oriented.
