I tried to talk a local community radio station that is just starting out to set up a mastodon server. Thought it would be a good way engage the community.

Them: what’s Mastodon?

Me: it’s kind of like an open source twitter

Them: Blank stares.... What’s twitter like? We already have a Facebook page, isn’t that enough?
