Ah yes, the infamous Vow.
Everyone knows the old adage: "don't believe eveything you read in the papers." Yet many people do believe what they read in the papers, or hear on the radio or see on TV. I suppose we can add Facebook and Twitter to that list. -

Yes, of course.
There was not one single reason that lost us the referendum, but lots of different ones. However, if I could change just one thing it would be how our media is controlled. Sadly, I won't be able to do that. :blobsad: -

Around this time 5 years ago I had finished my stint at the Polling Place, and collected the stats from the Returning Officer. I met up with my Yes colleagues, who had been at some of the other Polling Places.
During the day I had received many, many more positive reactions from the voters. My colleagues had experienced the same. We all felt happy.
I went to a friends house, who was also a Yes campaigner, to watch the results on TV. #Neachdainn came with me.

FYI
The shows don't appear to downloadable from thistleradio, using youtube-dl. However, each show can also be listened to on NPR, and that is downloadable by youtube-dl. The downloads are exceedingly slow, in fact, about real-time. Download for a one hour show takes 60 minutes. Never mind, I've now got a podcast. -

You'll know "Bohemian Rhapsody", well this is an Irish take on that song called "Hibernian Rhapsody" by DΓ© Danann.

We had the big gathering on the Saturday before. On the remaining days before the vote (Mon, Tue, Wed) we did some final door-to-door canvassing. The photo earlier was the lunchbreak before the last canvassing session. It was glorious weather that day. I'll never forget what it was like. -

US Americans is accurate, just seems a bit awkward. Of my suggestions earlier: Monrovians sounds cute, but Julians is a bit snappier.I'd also love to know if there is a Native American term for the landmass or peoples of the US.

I'm trying to run #Firefox 69.0 directly from /opt, but it dies silently. This is on Debian Stretch.
Anyone know what secret incantation is needed?
