I'm #urbansketching and this is a park on the hills close to Prague Metronome. On the sketch are tourists using their phones sitting or standing on a low wall and behind and below them the city of Prague.

Dutch tourists came by and said "leuk, toch " about my sketch

gna now I finally found the link to this thread that I really thought worth reading about "asking people to CW" https://radical.town/@byttyrs/102497906589002186

it was so hard to find bc it wasn't CW'd (because for me, it's easier while I try rapidly scrolling through my faves in order to find one post, if there are 2 or 3 words I can just scan for)

ah, the other thread I thought was worth reading was not posted publicly, alas

I don't think stuff gets read less because of CW's, in fact, because the CW is short and often clearly says what a thread is about, it draws my attention more and I find it much easier to spot in my moving timeline.

especially if it's a thread, because then you see several posts with the same CW and it's really easy to spot. (for me at least)

I totally get why for example marginalized people don't feel good CW'ing talking about their oppression and I don't get to police that!

now the CW discourse spilled over or just happened to come into the other bubble too, and I've read some pretty good threads about it, and most stuff was already said, I just can't keep my mouth shut, so:

for me, CW's are really good for the usability of this platform, because you give your followers control over how and when to read about some stuff.

and especially with topics that stress people out it's great to be a bit more in control of what's coming at you online.

I love it when my singles yarn is evenly distributed on the bobbins. I made a 3ply and it actually came together perfectly! wooooohooo+++!

right now I finished plying this yarn and I am excited to start the next project!

also this morning I tried out the Ostfriesen method of brewing #tea. https://www.thiele-tee.de/echter-ostfriesentee/die-zubereitung-von-ostfriesentee

me and my partner talked about the consequences of #plasticfree for us, and we noticed that we buy less stuff, but better quality.

it feels good to get less, and it feels great to get this high quality food.. but it's very sobering to realize that they're selling low quality trash to the poor.

we knew that before, but now we *feel* it. we taste it. it's a privilege to be able to do what we do. and thats fucked up.

I visited the farmer we get our main grains from: wheat and rye.
it's the worst drought in the last 40 years in our area and the harvest will be pretty pretty bad.

bad news after last years harvest has also been pretty awful. and it definitely is climate change.

and now I'm back in the city were people live in sweet oblivion when it comes to this drought situation.
