    @abs also 4 points for proving you can't find the smallest and the largest of 4 elements with less than 4 comparisons and finding an optimal algorithm

    also 6 points for finding an O(k + log²n) algorithm for building a heap in an array of n+k elements where the first n elements already form a binary heap

    also 7 points for gah I don't wanna go back to that

    @abs my Algorithms are in fact Algorithms and Data Structures (and yet they're more difficult that just proving things about insertion sort haha; the midterm recently gave 3/20 points for proving that insertion sort is O(n) if $\forall_{i} a_i \leq a_{i+7} \land a_i \leq a_{i+11}$ is true for the input sequence)

    there is a more difficult elective class called Algorithmics and then after that there's still a few more electives
