I finished the reboot of #BattlestarGalactica a few day ago and was trolling around for another show to occupy my lunch hour. I bumped into "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" and thought Gene Roddenbery? OK what the heck... we'll try it out.
OK, I admit liking cheesy scifi but Kevin Sorbo?! Really?

First I listened to _The Girl on the Train_ by Paula Hawkins. This was an excellent book and a great #audiobook. After listening to it I read a few reviews of it and most of the reviews compared it to a book called _Gone Girl_ by Gillian Flynn. Most of the reviews led me to believe that _Gone Girl_ was the paradigm for this genre. So I decided to give _Gone Girl_ a listen. It was a good production and the readers were excellent but I only give the book 2 out of 5. It would not even make a good late late late movie. UGH! It was not good. I had it solved about a third of the way through and the rest of the book was little more than profanity-laced gratuitous nonsense. _Girl on the Train_ was a much better book and I think it was the audiobook of the year in 2016 by whoever gives that award.

And for the curious- When one oggifies the 45 discs of the Lord of the Rings audiobook one ends up with about 2GB of files vs. the several bajillion in .wav files
