Now that it's hit Netflix, I watched Into the Spider-Verse with my son for the third time. It still holds up, and looks almost as good in 2D on the small screen as it did in 3D on the big one. What a great movie.
This is interesting.
I've decided to package pod_feeder_v2 to make it easier to install and use. You can now run pip install pod-feeder-v2
instead of downloading the source from git, and it will be available as numbered releases from this point forward.
Importantly, the scripts in the root of the git repo are symlinked to maintain backward compatibility, but should be considered deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please see the README for details on how to switch to using the new package.

My little desktop tank at work has struggled ever since I started it 3-4 years ago. Plants won't grow, and lately the water has been a murky green soup that I haven't been able to clear no matter what I try. I have a tank at home with the same approximate volume and the exact same light fixture, and it does great, both in terms of water clarity and plant growth.
Then recently I skipped a weekly water change, and the water started to clear. I think it must be the tap water here. It comes from Lake Champlain, which is pretty heavily polluted by agricultural run-off. At home I'm on a a different water supply and all of the water I use in my tanks goes through a 3-stage carbon block filter. I never have water quality issues. So, I guess the new regime calls for fewer water changes, and toting in filtered water from home.
The tank still slightly hazy, but it's hard to overstate how much clearer it is now. A week ago, the back on f the tank would not have been visible in a photo. Hopefully now with better light penetration the plants will begin to grow.
I first heard of thorium reactors on the show Okkupert, but I assumed it was science fiction. Maybe not.

Iβm working on a couple of bots for Matrix, so I decided to pull out the basic functionality into its own module so I donβt end up repeating work. This is also my first time packaging a python project and uploading it to PyPI. So far, so good.
Leo really put his foot in this one.

I don't know what it's going to take to make the world right. I do know that you should not be sitting waiting for it to happen; for somebody else to do it.
It's astounding to me how unaware many people are of other people in their vicinity.
I was sad that Matrix doesn't automatically generate previews when people post links, so I decided to make my bot do it. Then I was sad to find the existing opengraph modules don't seem to work in python 3.7. Then I found this and thought, "Hey, I know that guy" and I was happy.

I can feel the #bowling juice kicking in.
I've been messing around with the Matrix Python SDK. It makes things remarkably easy. π
