A few nights ago my partner, Jen, and I were watching a documentary on how much data #Google and #Facebook keep on people.

She now has #Firefox, #DuckDuckGo and #Wire installed. I'm about to migrate her #Gmail to my servers, and she's considering leaving Facebook.

Just shows what a bit of eye opening can do. Shame she never listens when I tell her these things! 😂 #Privacy

I'm thinking about creating a Fosstodon blog, so I can keep people informed on what's going on with the instance. Would anyone bother reading it?

A couple of people have asked about adding some custom emojis to the instance that are FOSS-centric. Being the stand up guy that I am, I could only oblige (also, it was a great idea).

Below is an image of what I've added so far. If you want more added, let me know.

If you want to make some yourself, they should be a 32px square PNG with a transparent background. Email them to me - kev@fosstodon.org

@rtwx @ivan interesting actually, the normal app is developed by "Telegram Messenger LLP" and the X app is developed by "Telegram LLC". Not sure of the difference.

@Matter @mattmcnutt so what the point in it? I thought it was the bleeding 3dge version of the normal app? It's still made by telegram, so it's an official app.
