i've been in lots of computer science classes and only once did we talk about the ethical risks involved in creating or maintaining the infrastructure that much of the world uses. no one ever brought up things like accessibility, online abuse, harvesting personal data, or the lack of diversity

hey all, does anyone know if it's easy to upgrade many mastodon versions at once (potentially with several db migrations)? or should it be done one version bump at a time?

i'm tao! i studied computer science and philosophy and for the last year i've been living and working in #copenhagen (though i'm moving to #edinburgh soon). i'm into computer security, privacy, philosophy, and politics (and the intersections between these). in the near future i'm hoping to become better at vegan cooking & to explore scotland's nature!
