The last episode doesn't ruin everything, but it was a massive meh for a series final and had unnecessary downers. I did find it interesting and I don't recommend skipping it, but it could have been so much better.

The story telling was an interesting concept if it had been used for any other episode.

Ok, I've seen all of Enterprise Season 4 now.

I was wrong about single episodes, they're the exception. Most of S4 is made of 2–3 episode arcs.

I'm glad I watched it and I rank it higher than a lot of TOS and VOY.

"Check for updates" is "Daily", but latest repo update is over a week ago. Not sure why F-Droid does this.

I feel like I often have to refresh it manually when there is some specific version I want. Usually that's when YouTube broke something and I want the latest NewPipe.

Android F-Droid v1.40.0 crashes on startup, so I've been without F-Droid for a few weeks.

I tried downgrading but the lower version failed to install.

I looked into it now and v1.40.1 is already on F-Droid since 5 days ago, but for some reason my F-Droid hasn't offered it to me yet.

There are arcs of 2–3 eps each in ENTS4, one Temporal (bleh), one Vulcan+Andorian (cool), one Tellarite+Andorian (cool), one Mirror (fun), but I believe the rest are single episodes. It's 22 episodes.

Fans say the last episode of the series sucks and ruins everything. I'm not at the end yet.

Enterprise was a brilliant concept, tying together our spacefaring history with Star Trek and imagining how a NASA-like space program plus warp in the way to Star Trek might look, and how the four founders of the Federation struggled and finally came together. It has brilliant actors, costumes and sets. Even the Xindi species were a cool concept.

And then they wasted three seasons on the awful awful Temporal Cold War, a big bundle of bad and incoherent ideas.

After a 20-year break I am now watching Season 4 and it is brilliant. It's everything I expected and felt robbed of when I first watched the series.

The song is great and fits well with the lo-fi, contemplative atmosphere and pacing.

Nanjing hasn't had quite as many names as Beijing:

Jīnlíng City (Jīnlíngyì, 金陵邑) -> Jiànyè (建業) ->
Jiànkāng (建康) -> Shengzhou (昇州) -> Jiangning (江寧) -> Jiànkāng -> Yīngtiān (應天) -> Nánjīng (南京)

@Portable Hermit It makes sense but sounds kinda yucky. But that's a bit of a sleight of hand as "oil" is really more like "fat/oil/grease", lipids.

But cow grease or cow fat doesn't sound very appetizing either. Connotations are a weird thing.

I'm assuming that the "cheese" in "cow cheese" (en.wiktionary.org/wiki/βού ) is something less specific than the modern English word "cheese", so that it includes butter and other grease.

The South Capital thing is interesting, I had no idea.

During the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liao_dyn… or Khitan Empire, Beijing ("Nanjing")[0] was really in the far south of that empire, which covered Korea, Manchuria, the area around Beijing, most or all of Mongolia and maybe a third of Siberia.

It seems Beijing was never part of the Song Dynasty, I never realized that. After the Tang everything was a bit fractured until the Mongols unified most of Eurasia.
