I had a #dream that I met Michelle Yeoh and she wanted me to draw her a logo of sorts, for the kind of embroidered badge that you might sew on your bag or something.

She wanted me to draw her as a vampire duck, but I started with the hardest parts, the hands, and I couldn't get them right and had to erase them and start over, over and over.

Kid is ahead of his friend on the summer homework, so now they're in a videocall and kid is tutoring his friend. 🥰

Not just telling the answers, properly helping him understand the questions and providing guidance on how to solve it.

None of us put them up to this, they just started doing it.

Anyway, there is no known fix to the issue, but there is a known working alternative, so I'll go with that.

I concluded the case there. The solution is to get a docking station. There is no expectation for this port to work.

I talked to @Leah Rowe on the #minifree IRC and it turns out there isn't actually any HDMI audio through the miniDP++, according to the schematics there is no physical connection. So I can stop looking for a software solution.

But there's a way out! I'll find a dock for it. That will have working audio, I presume through a native HDMI connector.
