@Hypolite Petovan The strangest thing is I can go repost these on another account I'm following and they'll propagate into Friendica just fine. So Friendica *can* fetch them (IceShrimp reposts are thin reposts, right? Just a reference to the original, not the whole content?), it just won't do it from search.

Once they're on the local server, search will of course find them.

I hate it when sometimes you just want to sit down and zone out for hours, but then when you snap out it, hours have passed.

Some will say that seems fair, but it doesn't feel fair.

Thunderstorms in Hong Kong are an all-encompassing event. "The city is under thunder now." A constant dull roar of thunder and half an hour of continual strobe lights with occasional glorious sharp streaks across the sky.

"Why are you filming this? It's just thunder."

If you grew up here, you have no idea how remarkable this is.

A colleague always says "let me see if you cannot see my screen", clearly trying to avoid the noise of "works for me" from multiple people.

It never works, there are always some people doing it anyway. 😃

One of kid's classmates had a surprising anti-gay opinion, so he's been asking around a bit where people stand. Thankfully, that kid seems to be the outlier.

Made me remember that time half a life ago when I accidentally "came out" to a friend ... I admitted my interest for a woman with an ambiguous nickname and hilarity ensued.

My friend's response was so overwhelmingly excited and supportive that I promised that if I ever discovered I was gay, I was sure to go to him first with the news. 🥰
