I'm Swedish and as a small nation we always proudly point out hey did you know famous person so and so is Swedish.

But I had no idea Rebecca Ferguson, a k a Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström, is Swedish! Ferguson is her mother's name. Her dad is a Swedish business man and her mom is English, but spent her adult life in Sweden. The mom seems vaguely in the music industry and translated some ABBA lyrics in the 70s. Rebecca grew up in Vasastaden in Stockholm and started her career in a Swedish soap opera.

Even when she played Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman nobody pointed this out to me!

Today I found a configuration line.

It shouldn't matter, but just to exclude the impossible we had to try it.

It was frikkin DNS.

Not a network mesh latency issue, not a weird thing with the database, just some service (a shelf product, not our code) that incessantly looks up whatever names on every single request, without caching, and it was doing it from another continent, slowing everything to molasses.

I hope #NewPipe 0.27 is cleared for release soon, so I can read the comments again.

I know what people say about YouTube comments, but for the kind of videos I tend to watch, the comments are overwhelmingly of the delightful sort.

Wow, I do not recognize Kristen Wiig at all in her current hairstyle. It's like her entire face changed, just from that change in frame.

I had to go back and look at some older clips and yep, I do recognize her when her hair is tied.

@ARGENTINA MENTIONED My highschool calculator was the HP 32S. Several years later I took it out of the drawer in my old room in my parents' home and it still ran. On the original batteries!

I've been surprised to see from US people and from kid's homework here in HK that people actually spell out the "÷" character.

In Sweden we learned that "no no, nobody actually writes that symbol, that's just a button on the calculator that symbolises a number over another separated by a horizontal division bar".

In highschool I had a non-graphing RPN HP and at uni I didn't have use for a calculator.
