Would you like to be part of a cooperative podcast about surviving the apocalypse while running a pirate radio station? The story will be told in many voices, all going by the name "Terra". Terra will journey with us through trial, tribulation, humor, instructional bits, and musical guests. The narrator is part of an anarchist collective that has taken over an NPR-style radio station and is preparing for the oncoming climate catastrophe!
We are looking for musicians, editors, web devs, and digital media artists.
Special attention will be given to any and all POC that would like to fill any role, including writing, hosting, producing.
This is a volunteer-run project, we are all doing this out of a love for the world we're creating. We'd love to have you involved.

Cis-het white capitalist: Yes, but who OWNS the RIGHTS to this anarchist flag?

This article debacle vaguely reminds me of newbies coming into Occupy ICE camp and asking who's the one in charge of such-and-such. This space was absolutely anarchist by necessity. This space existed in everyone's spare moments and free time, so there couldn't be 'The Person In Charge Of Thing'. Often, the answer to the newbie's question was to bring them to the tent where such-and-such Was Done and then tell them to help themselves. It was a beautiful and odd dissonance of function for people looking for hierarchy where there isn't and couldn't be. It was overwhelming to a lot, I'm sure, especially near the end of the month-long run of the camp. There was plenty to do, and people were generally helpful in whatever direction was needed. So it often felt, to those that think in hierarchies, that they must become Person In Charge of Thing, when that would clearly be asking too much of one being, and also, no one was asking them to do it. They confuse decentralization with chaos.

If you like the flags I commissioned, please use them. If you want to download them as the banner to another website, feel free. If you want to edit the source material, you do not have to consult me about this. Consider these designs public domain as far as I'm concerned. I blatantly based these flag designs on other flags made by comrades, and I was never under the illusion of ownership.

Serious recommendation: if you like solarpunk, look into AfroFuturism. It's been around -way- longer, and tbh, solarpunk was probably inspired by it. The aesthetics and ideals often overlap, and there's way more lore and fiction to read! Also, you'll be giving a platform to people that have great ideas and need the attention.

I'm so here for the anti-cap discourse. Some general points, shouted at the ether:
1. Solarpunk IS political. Always.
2. Capitalism is unsustainable, and thus not solarpunk.
3. Anarchy and capitalism are incongruous because of capitalism's need for hierarchal distribution of power.
4. Being able to go your own way, create as you see fit, and specialize within your industry is not inherently capitalist in nature.
5. I love you all, even if you like capitalism. Because you're here with us.
