This instance is closing in May! Please do follow me at my new account, @artsyhonker

I might still request an invite to Wandering Shop, too, since so many of you have suggested it.

On 22nd February, two of my pieces will be sung at Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. One is my Nunc dimittis, the other is my setting of 'Christ has no body now on earth but ours' by Teresa d'Avila.

Music list available to download from https://www.chch.ox.ac.uk/cathedral-services-and-events/services-and-music-list

Sheet music for my pieces is available free online, thanks to my generous patrons.

    OK.

I need to hire a professional sensitivity reader/consultant to have a look at a poem for me.

It's a bit delicate, because it isn't my poem! But I have, with permission, set it to music.

I haven't published yet, and I'm aware there is one line that might be ableist but in all honesty I can't tell. If it is, I need help finding words to ask the poet to change it.

Is this a thing that can be bought? How much am I looking at?

Pen technology geeks: have you invented a music manuscript rastrum pen that takes ink cartridges yet? I still want to draw curved scores.

Everything I have tried so far smudges or is a dip pen or is darker or lighter or larger than I want. But really, a cartridge fountain pen or some kind of fineliner would be ideal; 1cm wide total, five lines.

Carol service will be fun. Playing the serpent for the middle verse of Coventry Carol.

My goal is to terrify the congregation, basically.

I write beautiful choral music and put it online under a Creative Commons license so that choirs can sing it for free.Traditional publishers aren't interested in my music because I won't let them prohibit photocopying, so I rely on the support of people like you to fund my creative work.

Great arrangement of one of my works...

...by someone who doesn't seem to entirely understand CC by-SA and has left the license information off their pdf. Sigh. Not going to push too hard on this one as it is for a good cause, but it is annoying.

I'm not an American citizen. I don't have a lot of spare money at the moment. What I can do is write hymn tunes. So I've written one to this text by Gary Alderson: 1. You ran from oppression, Cross...

I think... I want to learn to use LaTeX, specifically so that I can use Lilypond.

Current PLN: get a used laptop, put Linux on it.

Eventually, using Rosegarden or similar might also be good.

I haven't used anything other than MacOS or sometimes Windows for a good ten years and I do not have a lot of time to mess with stuff. Needing to install extra stuff or special libraries or whatever is a huge speedbump for me, not a fun puzzle.

    Hardware/software recommendations, and boosts, welcome.
