Why did moving the mouse cursor cause Windows 95 to run more quickly? https://retrocomputing.stackexchange.com/questions/11533/why-did-moving-the-mouse-cursor-cause-windows-95-to-run-more-quickly
"large applications that could take an hour to install could be reduced to 15 minutes with suitable mouse input."
Expect maybe a few minutes of downtime, the new landing-page commit is merged in #writefreely upstream.
Building and deploying a new version now.
New invite link to let in 10 more users: https://write.with.parts/invite/JPjjQ6
"We have reviewed the issue and the fix you sent to us and we determined the issue was with [our] software developers."
hehe
double update: switching IP addresses for the server, DNS may take a few minutes to get fixed.
@sir I've witnessed Java/JavaScript without jest.
write.with.parts #writefreely deployment update: https://write.with.parts/thurloat/deployment-progress
TLDR;
- deployment is further optimized,
- waiting on some upstream activity before hacking too much,
- avoiding Moosetodon mistakes,
- ping me if you want an invite, initial ones got gobbled up.
for $10 I'll log into your linkedin account and toggle all the annoying permissions to 'no' for you
@sara gtav is on sale, wish i could pull the trigger on it to play on RP servers.
hope you got some cool shit to enjoy :)
@HerraBRE thats defintely an issue ive had with ssb. its great for things like scientific research and world event documentation, but is a bit scary for opinions and commmentary.
@szbalint scotchlife!
@HerraBRE ive done this too. i was focus only until i wanted to send tabs to my phone, then for some reason also ended up with nightly.
i was just informed that Antergos is dead, i thought they were joking. RIP
choose boring technology http://boringtechnology.club/
@xvu i understand that totally.
i feel compelled to tell you sorry for being away from ssb :/
my pub and git-ssb viewer are still live on my server, but ihavent migrated my desktop post reinstall with my ssb keys yet.
@xvu maybe a small town / rural canadian community better suits you than city life.
I find the same about living in the city myself, but when I get back to my childhood home or visiting the in-laws who both live a few hours away from any city, it resets me into a happier lifestyle.
@ThatGeoGuy at this point upgrading is going to be basically impossible, upstream is so far diverged. we've talked a lot about it around here over time, most likely outcome is migrating over to pleroma sometime.
@thurloat funnily enough, mastodon.club's crusty ass AP implementation doesn't seem to know how to talk to write.with.parts accounts. Excellent.
sup followers, I set up a writefreely server at https://write.with.parts/. ๐ค
It's closed to public registrations, but invites are open. If you want to come along and check it out you can use this invite link: https://write.with.parts/invite/rVDbhq
If you get in and like it, you can send along your own invites as well. Let me know how it goes. Will be tweaking the install over the next few days, adding caching, etc.
Plan on keeping it around permanently, so you can safely set up shop.
