Hey #lefttwitter, people arent mad at you because you are new, people are kinda mad at you because you are seeing this as "twitter but not twitter," which it is not. Many of us used to feel that way too! But this is actually a new and different place with its own culture. Hashtags on here, for instance, arent really a thing and make you look like a dork a little bit to be honest. But regardless, please just dont go clout chasing. Have fun!

You might get phone calls or see on the news that you should report homeless people who are out in the cold to a number who will take them to a shelter. Don’t do that. Ask them if they want to go and if they don’t do. Not. Call. I understand that it is hard to do, and you are worried. But they are people and they don’t want to go and they have agency. Please.
