So, for the #Homeworld lovers/nostalgists out there that also happen to be running #Linux, here is what I hope to be straightforward installation instructions for Homeworld SDL:

    https://github.com/ThibaultLemaire/HomeworldSDL

To the extent of my testing the game is fully playable, save a few graphical glitches that I'd like to fix, so if you know someone good at C and x86_64 Assembly...

Feedback and boosts highly appreciated 🙂

Anyone remembers #Homeworld ? The video game from 1999?

Found that relic (!) in my library the other day...

This game is a bigger part of my childhood than #AoEII, so I was thinking I should spin it up again for old times' sake.

Except... How do I make a 1999 Windows game run on a 2019 Linux machine?

Well I guess there's #wine, and I've also heard of an open-source SDL port, so... wish me luck!

There's a few games I didn't know about and/or have yet to try on this list

    https://lutris.net/games/?fully-libre-filter=on

It took me months to dig up half of the games on this list on my own, and although I do know some games that aren't on there, that's the best list of foss games I've found so far.
