@rtwx LMMS provides a lot in one package. Synthesizers, drum machines, and good sequencing and pattern editing utilities.

If you use Jack, you have a lot of flexibility in routing and could terminate that in Ardour for sequencing/recording. But I think the Jack workflow takes a lot of management and has some bugs.

There's still work to do, but a working computer with add/sub instructions is in sight. After that, the next obvious step is conditional jumps/turing completeness. After that, there are many possibilities and I'm not sure where to go to continue learning. #homebrewcomputer
