Apologies for that being a photo and not a screenshot. The laptop has no LAN and no USB drivers (Win95) so it's a little problematic getting files off it :)
I recently picked up a rather chunky IBM ThinkPad 380XD. The previous owner used Windows 95 on it. The installation of Internet Explorer still has a cache of MSN home page from August 8th, 1999 :)
Switched back from LineageOS on my OnePlus 3T to OxygenOS. Dramatic difference in performance. I wonder if LineageOS is missing some blobs or other non-free bits that make the OEM build of OxygenOS so much more fast and fluid.
My beloved pebble watch is failing :(. Getting these irritating vertical blue streaks on screen. They move about madly and are more pronounced when the back light is on. Tempted to pick up another for when this dies. https://mastodon.social/media/xnOv3oiBflqu6A2w4Dc
Just found the first four issues of "Comms Plus!" magazine in the loft. "Comms / Multi User Games / SF & Fantasy". Here's some photos from issue 1. Pretty fascinating reading from nearly 30 years ago :)
It makes me very happy to be the (temporary) owner of the (now) POPE VOLTAGE community website! Space Raiders for the win! https://community.badvoltage.org/
I've realised that some non-English-English speakers may be confused by the British reaction to Mark Zuckerberg sending other people in his place after his invitation to speak to the UK Parliament
While "you are invited to Parliament to speak on this subject" may be interpreted as "we'd like you come and talk if it's not too much bother" to some foreign ears, the phrase actually means "COME HERE RIGHT THIS SECOND YOU LITTLE SHIT AND EXPLAIN YOURSELF"
@lvdd I had the green screen too. I couldn't afford the colour one. My mate had the colour one and we'd usually play on that. I later bought the modulator so I could use a TV :)
30 years ago I'd cart my CPC 464 to a mates house to do 'multiplayer' games (Ikari Warriors & Rebelstar Raiders). In 2018, my 11 year old Son plays massive games with his schoolmates & friends online with voice & video chat. How far we've come since loading 48K games from tape :)
