It's a song written from a stray dogs perspective as he wishes for an owner for Christmas. It's a cute idea but the singer is an adult male who makes no attempt to act like a dog at all. No silly voice or dog affectations. Just a man crooning about how badly he wants to share a bed with a little boy.
