@brandon i've tried aeropress coffee and it's defs worth it, plus it's a pretty cheap setup. i don't mind the involvement, though making two cups at once is a pain (not sure if that'll be a problem yet). ties into putting in effort and enjoying the rewards more because of it
We don't have time to fucking argue with old crack pipe morons about if the fucking planet is dying. Just fucking ignore them and DO IT. CLEAN ENERGY. DO IT. DO IT NOW. They will be whiny piss pants about it but who the FUCK cares. DO IT. PULL THE TRIGGER PIGLET.
have you ever transformed or built a sustainable digital infrastructure that runs on #renewableenergy or used energy-efficient hardware? how does it look in detail and how can someone transform to it?
@brandon I tend to drink caps and my favorite beans are called white owl? i dont brew my own yet but u think i might start with an aeropress. the place i stay has world class coffee culture though :)
To all the free software advocates. To the men and women and non-binary people who build the systems that I appreciate and take for granted every day: I love you.
I love you and I will give it all back, some way, one day.
I love my new headphones. They're wireless so I can knit without getting tangled in everything. And I can just get up and walk away! Technology is great.
Hey everybody, I'm a softie lefty black grad student in a PWI the U.S. Interested in sociology, neuroscience, and inadvertently triggering chuds by making obvious, pro-social declarations. Cynical idealist, frequently in my feelings. Interested in staying healthy, kind, and self-assured in the blatantly sociopathic political moment. Much love ❤️
Question: “How [do you] respond to the argument that without viable alternatives, walking away from Facebook or social media more generally is a privilege?”
JL: "If you’re privileged enough to have the option of walking away from social media, and yet you don’t, you’re failing to use your privilege to defeat a system that traps other people who are less fortunate than you."
"Passion is a rare flower that grows on the precipice of death. A few snatch it, and the rest are like an ox chewing its cud in a field." Saunders Lewis, Blodeuwedd
