...I don't think the problem with YouTube comments is that people aren't watching the video before they comment. I think the problem is that people don't understand words.

I think so too, and I've heard similar sentiments from other people in the tech industry.

...but, oh my god, look at all the idiots in the comment section. All the complaints about smartphones being too expensive. That's literally what a high-end phone is and why the market's moving toward mid-tier phones, which was the whole point of the video...

About to attend another driving lesson. Weather is very good.

The book isn't quite clear about this, so let me ask...

If the traffic lights in the direction I'm going are red, but I have a green arrow in the direction I'm going, that means that — given that I make sure to yield for traffic going across — I can enter the intersection and turn, right?

What if there are no arrows and I want to go that way? Do the regular rules for yielding and right of way apply then, or am I simply not allowed to drive that way?

I don't get why it's even legal for a two-wheel vehicle to share a lane with a four-wheel vehicle. It surprised me when I realised that it's perfectly legal for a motorcycle to to zig-zag between cars to get ahead. That creates the potential for so many dangerous situations.

It's kind of hard to see if a car has its blinkers on in broad daylight. They're so small.

So far, I've racked up 11 hours of practice driving. I'm probing my network for people who have time for it.

@wistahe Fresh or dried? I'm careful with the dried fruit and berries, since they're basically like candy.

@sina Most certainly is more varied as you eat it than, say, corn flakes.

@freon I have cinnamon in my morning coffee on workdays. If I overdo it, I might get tired of cinnamon, and I don't think I want to be tired of cinnamon.

I like to mix a lot of ingredients in my cereals, including coco, cashew and pecan.

The first paragraph about matzo bread on Wikipedia says that God commanded the Jews to make the bread.

That sounds like something the Jews themselves forced in there. I was more curious about the earliest known evidence of a bread like matzo, but I'm guessing that not a single person in Israel wants to know where it came from. It would be embarrassing if it was an Arab invention.

That's one weird breakfast.

Challenge: Describe the sort of person who would have this for breakfast every morning.

It's strange that on a small island off the coast of Norway, a language is spoken that we used to call our own, but is now mostly incomprehensible to us. That language is Icelandic.

While mainland Scandinavia went through a language shift beginning in the 14th century, Iceland kept Old Norse alive. Meanwhile, Norway adopted fiddle music from Scotland and peasant fashions from Northern Europe, creating further cultural difference.

On top of that, they learn Danish, not Norwegian, in school.

I dusted off my MIDI keyboard and my guitar and made a little bit of music. It sounded all right, but as has been the case a lot recently, it came to a point where I couldn't find a good part to add to the track without taking away from its essence instead of adding to it.

If I weren't so narcissistically hungry for the immediate gratification of social media, and could actually think of anything to say when faced with an empty text box in a text editor, I'd write a blog or a book.
