    #Linux 5.3.11, 4.19.84, 4.14.154, 4.4.201 & 4.9.201 are out.

    As usual, users should upgrade, as those new #kernel versions besides small improvements contain a bunch of fixes – some of which might be crucial for the security of your systems. www.kernel.org/

    ♲ @knurd42rhfc@twitter.com: PSA: My #kernel vanilla repositories for #Fedora 29, 30 and rawhide now ship:

    * #Linux 5.2.1 in "stable" and "mainline w/o merge-window"
    * 5.1.18 in "fedora" (as F29 and F30 are still on 5.1)
    * a snapshot of what will become #Linux 5.3-rc1 in "mainline"

    I found out why many modern #Linux distros do not boot on the #AMD #Ryzen 3000 (released yesterday): bad RDRAND values confuse #systemd. To workaround apply github.com/systemd/system… https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/12536/commits/1c53d4a070edbec8ad2d384ba0014d0eb6bae077, as it's and old problem that's worse on the new CPUs. More details in below news article (German)

    ♲ @thleemhuisfoss@twitter.com: Viele #Linux Distributionen starten auf Systemen mit dem neuen, am Sonntag vorgestellten #AMD #Ryzen 3000 nicht. Nach etwas hin und her hab ich rausfinden können, wo das Problem liegt, das #Systemd aus dem Tritt bringt und so das Problem auslöst: www.heise.de/newsticker/meldun…

    Support for AMDs #Navi aka #RDNA aka #Radeon RX5700 got merged to the OpenGL 3d driver #radeonsi in #Mesa master: gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/merg… https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/merge_requests/1173

    BTW: A new libdrm with navi support was released, too: lists.x.org/archives/xorg-… https://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-announce/2019-July/003001.html

    The only major thing missing now afaics is support in #Radv.

    The #Linux #Kernel 4.20.12, 4.19.25, 4.14.103, 4.9.160, 4.4.176 and 3.18.136 are out.

    The usual drill applies: They all contain important fixes and users "must update". One reasons for that: Some of them contain a fix for the "Use After Free Vuln" that made the news this week.
