@scolobb I am pushing from my local repo to my git-ssb node. Since it's the node where the repo was created and I'm the only one pushing to the repo, I don't get what the node would need to fetch to be able to handle my push. I don't think ssb discards blobs ever, but I might be wrong.

@scolobb git-ssb. The remote is local.

I even cloned the repo from ssb. Went fine. Fetched latest upstream master to that clone. Pushed. Stuck on fetch blob. How does this work? What is this mysterious (ssb) blob it is trying to fetch??

This is the only computer I ever touch that git-ssb repo with. How can I get stuck on "fetching blob" when trying to push to it??

Forget The GDPR, The EU's New Copyright Proposal Will Be A Complete And Utter Disaster For The Internet
      from Techdirt.
Today is GDPR day, and lots of people are waking up to a world in which EU regulations are having a widespread (and not always positive) impact on how the internet works. As we've detailed over the past couple of years, while there are many good...

There's this post in the middle of a big convo that has this minor misunderstanding of one detail, and I didn't get around to correcting it two weeks ago.

The terms in the post are too generic to reasonably be searched for now.

This will be gnawing at my heart for the remainder of my life. But I have to try to move on.

A quite detailed profile of Jordan Peterson's academic career by someone who worked with him.

    https://www.thestar.com/opinion/2018/05/25/i-was-jordan-petersons-strongest-supporter-now-i-think-hes-dangerous.html

I'd put Peterson in the same sort of category as Steven Pinker and other pop intellectuals or pseudoscientists. It is possible to dress up personal prejudices in the language and mannerisms of science, or just to ignore decades of research results if they're inconvenient to the narrative.

@roka I guess lots of small files? It's 50 racket packages and 50 mostly empty directories.

But it's not like they are 4-byte files that would expand to 1k times that because of fs blocks.
