    Google fined about Rs. 135 crore (5% of its average revenue for last three years) for anti-competitive behaviour by Competition Commission of India. Many websites like Bharat matrimony has complained that google's algorithms favoured its own services above others in 2012.

    Large corporations like google, M$, FB should not exist. They have too much power and naturally abuse it. Also they make sure that competition does not exist by swallowing up promising startups.

    Some BTech students drew a graph using octave. Was pleasantly surprised to hear that my college had taught it! I couldn't resist correcting that it is 'GNU octave' and the plotting component is 'GNU plot'. One person pronounced GNU as G-N-U and I repeatedly said that it is 'GNU'. I probably shouldn't have :P #freesoftware

    Ran 12.5k in 1:32:59 hrs today. Average speed 8.09kph, initial speed was around 8.8kph. There's a nagging pain in the right knee during the past few weeks, which is concerning. It appears when I run in an uneven surface with the right leg landing on a lower plane compared to left. #running #fitness
    Earlier this week, ran a HIIT of 8k in 54min approx and felt overstretched.

    I want to make one thing very clear regarding #fosdem2018 #fosdem

    A conference on freedom-and-human-rights-respecting technology should not have a titan of #SurveillanceCapitalism like Google as sponsor. The good people in our community shouldn’t have to choose between having a platform to meet up at and having their legitimacy usurped by association to whitewash such companies. I’m attending under protest to meet and chat to some lovely members of the community.

    Google doesn’t belong there.
