How does one go about having a pen name and getting paid for writing one does under it?

I want to write a cookbook, I don't want too much confusion between that and my identity as a composer. I don't mind people knowing I do both but I want people who search for me as a composer not to get clogged up with recipe stuff.

Thanks in advance. (I'm happy for you to point me at a useful how-to, esp. if UK-relevant, but experienced advice is even better.)

I also use them because I am a non-standard size and getting clothes that fit me in charity shops is impossible. They have a wide range of sizes and automatically alter to height; they also do custom sizing for a smol fee.

When I say I eat a reasonably healthy diet and get reasonable amounts of exercise, please believe me.

I know what my weight would be like if I didn't exercise much, because I have my father as an example, and he makes me look slim.

And I know what I would look like if I didn't eat vegetables *or* exercise, because my uncle makes my father look slim.

Yes, I am obese.

I'm doing *really well* given my genetics, though.
