For those of you interested in my birb posting, this lil guy is the Resplendent Quetzal, an important symbol in many South American cultures throughout history. Their feathers were thought to be the symbols of the Aztecs' gods, and they were highly revered birds.

They don't do well in captivity, and honestly after seeing photos of them in flight, it makes it so easy to imagine why so many cultures believes in flying feathered serpents.

i'm so annoyed. i can't believe this is still being debated.

someone came at me with racial, transphobic slurs. i reported them and then posted the screenshot to warn people to stay away from them because that's what you are supposed to do when someone attacks you.

thats it. that's all. i had no ill will against w.l. i said nothing about w.l or anna, i indicated nothing in the fault of her administrating. i didn't even know who she was until two days ago. anything else is fabricated.

Be it from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Peru, Venezuela, Guatemala, be it American or Mixed or Indigenous, whether you speak Spanish or don't, whether you're a few generations removed or an immigrant yourself.

i'm not sure whats worse, that every femme and woman i know has a story about attempts at being groomed by older cis men, or that its so normalized that most of us don't even realize that it is grooming.

ICE has been spotted conducting raids in the Bay Area. Stay Alert. Stay low. Lie to cops. Protect your neighbors.

Kindness is not an inherent personality trait. To struggle, to love, and to be kind are active states of being. You have to go against much social conditioning to be kind. Its a choice. Make the choice to be kind.

But also, be reasonable.

You're not going to love the hate out of a Nazi.

Choose to be kind but understand not everyone is worthy of your kindness. This is being kind to yourself. You deserve kindness, too.

A bank screw up has left me with a bill that I gotta wrangle $50 up for but I've only got like, $5 to my name for the rest of the month. Its not life or death, but I would really appreciate getting it out of the way before it causes bigger problems.
