@lain They're just taking off, and they seem kinda niche (not everyone's fond of japan-isms? japan-ness? japan-itude?), but they seem to target at supporting all the modern stuff, and maintain a pretty positive attitude. I like that. I see them hitting it good once they're ready, Fediverse is big in Japan since some time now, for some reason.

Линух тоже слеплен из украденных повсюду идей. Но он не продается за сумасшедшее (или вообще за хоть какое-то) бабло, таким образом эти идеи освобождая. И это охуенно.

@lain Friendica is actually liked. I have several people on Friendica. The problem is, they still use OStatus, and they can't talk to AP.
Hubzilla is overlooked I think because no one's really sure what the bloody bloody bloody hell it actually is.
GNU Social is kind of an old hat. But they are working on AP implementation so may be they'll rise again, who knows. I'd like them to.
PostActiv's devs are just coming off as bitter and hostile when it comes to change in the Fediverse's air. I dunno, for me it's a factor.

UNIX was designed to make computers predictable and reliable.
DOS was designed to make a quick buck.
MacOS was designed to steal good ideas from other people and make a fortune exploiting them.
Windows was designed to antagonize MacOS by stealing its own ideas and putting them on DOS architecture.
GNU/Linux was designed so that everyone could have their own UNIX.

Only two of those goals are truly noble.
