@nybill I rely on the chimney effect to stream air from the side louvre which I keep always open. The problem with the one on the roof seems to be rather coming from the rail not from the opener you use. I only use the one without the piston that came with the set in winter to keep it closed all the time, so I got no comparison. May the good old ducktape keep the window in the rail.

@nybill Yes, the hydraulic opener. When a thunderstorm comes up in summer the inside temp is still too high for closing the louvre in time before the winds come up and it’ll be lifted from the rail which does not prevent it from skidding properly.

@nybill Comes to my mind what I always wanted to ask. Did you ever run into problems with the greenhouse’s roof louvre when strong wind comes up at warm temperatures when it’s forced open? Sometimes mine is hanged out and I did not figure out a proper fix yet.
