I must say, that I'm not really into carolina reaper. In very hot peppers I like bubblegum very much :-) It is very strong, but also very very fruity :-)

My chili deale has ordered a very special growing of yellow habanero, which isn't hot at all and created a very tasty bbq sauce. *yum* :-)

Well, I'm a chili-maniac :-D I like it really hot :-)
It's a matter of training - so if you eat hot stuff more often, then you get used to it and with time you don't have the thing, that you don't taste other things because of hotness... so you taste all the other things and with more and more trainig you begin to analyze the hotness :-)
For example I really like a combination of very hot chilis, like carolina, bubblegum, jolokia and a more piquant sort called chiltepin. Chiltepin is very interesting - they say it was the very first chili ever. It's hotness is very nice, because it burns everywhere in mouth - it isn't very hot, but it's capsaicinoid are very present and it burns for a long time :-) I love chiltepin very much :-)

Once I bought 500 grams of carolina reaper. My chili dealer said "500g? You know, that it's carolina reaper? What do plan to do with it?"
I said "I put in in the freezer" ;-)
So when I use caroline reaper then I take some pieces off the freezer, unfreeze it and then I just cut it with a knife into smaller pieces. The peppers I used to add as last and cook it around 20-30 minutes only, so that it burns as hell :-D

If we eat chili with my friends, we don't really use habaneros - not hot enough and if too much habanero is used to make it hotter, then it turns into an evil hotness.
Most times I use one of carolina reaper + 1 bubblegum, or 1 trinidad scorpian and a few of piquant sorts.
We used to cook around 3,0 liters or so. We don't always eat very hot chili, but most times :-)
