I wonder if avoid April 1 was intentional. I always side-eye when there are real announcements on April 1: https://blog.chef.io/chef-software-announces-the-enterprise-automation-stack/ #chef In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink Attachments

TopTal is a recruiting firm. I guess the idea with these articles is to get devs to actually come to the site. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

there's a lot going on here, but the thing that sticks out to me is this company isn't even licensed in Minnesota. Sounds like a scam, tbh: https://nu.federati.net/url/276926 In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink Attachments

If I worked for a defens(c)e dept, don't think I would be shouting that we use Debian. https://www.nobleprog.com/debian-training
I get that security through obscurity is not really a thing, but that's the sort of situation where you are likely to get targeted attacks. You might as well make them figure that out too.

Seems the hold up in getting a listing might be the determination of how many people we actually need. Seems destined to happen, but when...I can't yet say. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

Google started editing people's e-mails in GSuite, replacing links with a link through google.com:https://mobile.twitter.com/sneakdotberlin/status/1317734739537653760https://twitter.com/tblodt/status/1317875714981416962?s=20
This means that Google will track a click on a link *in e-mail* even if you're using an external client.
I am *guessing* this is under the pretext of phishing protection, but it actually *creates* additional phishing risk for text-only clients, since now all links are google.com links.
