2019-10-20 – My November Mileage Chart and More
By daw from Artist Formerly Known as DouglasAWh

For those of you that don’t know, I previously wrote for http://opensourceplayground.org. At the suggestion of a friend, I am going to try to bring more technical content to the blog. Still though, I will use the blog for cycling questions and for blocSonic and CC Community Music Awards stuff. I don’t know how different the blog will be, but it is an attempt.

      Thanks, Captain Obvious.

The new technical content may be after this upcoming weekend, as I need to pack. I also need to write a blocSonic merchandise agreement before I start the November cycling challenge.

I ended up giving up on the distance challenge in October in part due to my ankle. Here is my November mileage plan. More-so than October, this one will be highly dependent on the weather. I don’t mind biking in the cold or snow, but it’s just more work to go further. If the snow stays away, even just wearing more will weigh you down. I have front-loaded the month a bit in an attempt to deal with that aspect.

      11/1/2019 20 miles
11/2/2019 62.1371 (Gran Fondo…probably volunteering in Eagan, so won’t be all at once)

A friend of mine has suggested I apply for a Technical Writer position at his company. I think I would be good at it, but it is not a discipline I have ever worked in specifically.

Does anybody have any podcast suggestions for learning a bit about technical writing as a discipline? I have written KB articles before, which in some cases were public and in some cases were essentially the documentation. I have never used any of the fancy document building software though.
