en serio? ¿donde? a veces llevo mate en tea bags (¿cómo se las llama en español?) como regalo para amigos en otros países, no me imaginava que podría ser ilegal. ¡imagínate el riesgo!

    > Omicron strain is almost entirely resistant to covid

heh, not even the news report make that bs claim

the news report, and presumably the study, are echoing concerns that were present as soon as the variant was identified, weeks ago, that the large number of mutations *could* enable the variant to escape existing vaccines

more recent investigation has largely alleviated these concerns, that were no more than concerns, and at this point it looks like vaccines still do a decent job at omicron, though they don't make people invulnerable to any of the variants

our job is to educate people so that the line moves so that even mega-corp level psychopaths do the right thing. it's a monumental job, but someone has to try

love what you're doing here. this seems a bit too strict:
    > If a feature cannot be built in this manner, all data must be end-to-end encrypted and the owner of the device must be the exclusive holder of the private key
this sort of rules out any form of collaborative activity that involves publishing or sharing data.
I suggest seeking inspiration in the distinction between SaaSS (bad) and somebody else's computing (a term I've just made up to refer to networked computing you may interact with or even participate in, but that's not yours for you to deserve control over it)
a lot publishing and communication software are excluded from SaaSS on these grounds, but the line to be drawn here WRT data should be a little different: encrypting private communications is indeed a must, but encrypting what's meant to be public, e.g. data you contribute to a FS project or to OSMap or Wikipedia? what's even end-to-end in these contexts?

it's well know that OSI has made mistakes and rubber-stamped a few licenses that don't fit their own definition. but since they don't qualify as FS, they don't qualify as FS/OSS

me too, I'm a copyright abolitionist myself
that doesn't stop me from enjoying copyleft as long as there's copyright. it's the closest thing to "one can't impose restrictions on others" we can get while copyright stands

the restriction is not in the gpl, it's in copyright law
gpl revokes most of the restrictions imposed by copyright, so that you have freedom to do whatever you like with the software
but it doesn't revoke restrictions that stand in the way of your abusing other users by taking their freedoms away

    vaccines don't *cause* mutations
at best, they *select* mutations, that occur at random
and they do so because precisely because they work in giving us a better fighting chance against the pathogens they target
which can't be said about other drugs, that actually kill some living beings, both humans and some macroscopic pathogens, but not coronavirus

    > you don't need to trust the person you're buying it from, only the issuer
    > Same thing as a land deed. Because it's issued by the government

now that doesn't sound like decentralizing power, does it? only early-adopter issuers get a chance to earn trust, and thus only they get to "print money" AKA minting NFTs that can be (mis?)taken as valuable

I suggest going back to the drawing board and coming back when you get something that actually decentralizes power, and ideally that doesn't waste a ton of power while at that

so you reject the GPL because you'd like to restrict others and it won't allow you? looks like you don't enjoy when what you wish to do unto others is done unto you
